Robert Rettenmaier is the Founder, President, and Managing Attorney of The Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier, PC. His goal as a leading attorney is to ensure that all individuals and families coming to The Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier, PC receive the highest quality of service available. He pays close attention to the quality of his employees' work to reduce mistakes. He is abreast of the ever-evolving Third Party Assisted Reproductive (ART) law. Robert has worked hard to develop a strong reputation in the reproductive field and has developed a nationwide network of art attorneys, agencies, insurance experts, and other professionals in the ART community. Robert served in the military for four years (2001-2005) and later obtained his undergraduate degree at San Francisco State University.
He went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the Western State University College of Law. Robert is an active member of the American Bar Association, the California State Bar Association, SEEDS Ethics (a surrogacy ethics organization), and Resolve (an infertility advocacy organization). In the past, he has volunteered at LACBA, Domestic Violence Legal Service Project, and the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, California, where he volunteered over 2,000 hours of pro-bono legal services to qualified clients. He strongly believes in hard work, personal responsibility, and giving back to the community. He is a continual donor/sponsor of Men Having Babies whose mission is to expand the availability and rights for gay men to have babies through ART, and Robert donates to the Gifted Journeys Secret Santa foundation to help underprivileged families fulfill their children’s Christmas wishes. In his spare time, Robert enjoys spending time with his daughter and wife. Robert hopes that he will be able to assist you with all of your familial needs during this exciting and meaningful time.

Yihe Yang Rettenmaier (AKA Echo Yang) is an attorney licensed in the state of California and P.R. China. Echo is the Chief Operating Officer at the Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier, PC, overseeing all operations of the law firm. As an attorney, she represents intended parents, surrogates, egg donors, and sperm donors draft and negotiates agreements related to their surrogacy journeys and establish or terminate respective parties’ parental rights. Echo is bilingual and speaks, reads, and writes Mandarin and English. Echo earned her Masters in law degree from Yunnan University, China. She went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree with Cum Laude honors from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California (WSU). Among the many honors, she received while at WSU Echo was awarded the Outstanding Female Law Student Award at commencement where only one graduating student received this honor based on high academic achievement and demonstrated leadership.
Echo was a member of the WSU Law Review and published an article in the Law Review. Before Echo started her practice at the Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier, PC, she worked as senior legal counsel for more than 7 years at the largest independent bank that is headquartered in Southern California. The bank was recognized by Forbes magazine as one of “America’s Best Banks” since 2010 and ranked number 5 of "America's 100 Best Banks." Echo’s practice at the bank included complex cross-board lending and domestic commercial transactions.
Echo is extremely patient and caring. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, swimming, and reading. Echo understands each journey is so precious to each clients’ and strives to assist her global clients growing families and guide them through the legal aspects of their assisted reproductive journey

Ephraim Wang is the Operations Manager at the Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier. With a bachelor’s degree with cum laude honor in criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine, Ephraim possesses a strong academic foundation in the legal field. As our Operations Manager, Ephraim assumes a pivotal role in overseeing the entire legal contract drafting process. Beyond his responsibilities in contract management, Ephraim is an adept and reliable IT professional, serving as the go-to person for all technology-related matters within the firm. He implements innovative solutions, streamlines workflows, and ensures that the firm remains at the forefront of technological advancements, supporting the team in delivering top-notch legal services. Ephraim also takes pride in mentoring and training new legal assistants, passing on his knowledge and expertise to foster a strong and cohesive team environment. Outside his working hours, he enjoys classical music and concerts.

Jingwei joined the Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier as a legal assistant in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Jingwei studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. During her undergraduate degree, she was a writing center consultant at Denison’s writing center. A skilled writer, Jingwei excels in all facets of the contracts process while specializing in drafting various legal agreements for the firm. Jingwei’s journey as a legal assistant is fueled by her unyielding ambition to pursue a career in law and attend law school. Since joining the firm right after her graduation, she has established herself as a highly valued team member, utilizing her exceptional writing skills and trilingual fluency in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese to cater to the firm's diverse clientele. Her ability to seamlessly translate agreements and effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients has fostered stronger relationships and greater trust within the firm’s international community. In her free time, Jingwei enjoys rock climbing, swimming, and ice skating.

Ariana is a Paralegal at the Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier. She is primarily responsible for preparing and drafting the necessary pleadings to establish parental rights for clients and conducting legal research under the supervision of an attorney. She obtained a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. She continued her academic career by going on to obtain her Paralegal Certificate. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Robert Rettenmaier, PC she worked in a civil law firm as well as interned at a Public Defender’s office. Her background provided her with extensive legal experience and court experience that allows her to successfully communicate with clients and provide them with excellent assistance for their needs. She brings with her a strong work ethic and grand passion for family law. She takes great pride in her work and is honored to be able to assist clients with their journey to create a bigger family. Ariana is bilingual, with fluency in English and Spanish. She can assist Spanish speaking clients with any translation services they may need. During her free time, she enjoys reading and going to concerts and soccer games with friends and family.

She holds an A.S Degree in Communicative Disorders specializing in Speech-Language Pathology from Orange Coast College, where she developed a solid foundation for tackling complex challenges. Throughout her career, Adriana has demonstrated a remarkable ability in safeguarding trust accounts where she verifies payments request to ensure that there are supporting documents for requests submitted for disbursement. She takes pride in her dedication to delivering outstanding results, driving innovation, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
