Domestic Clients

For intended parents, surrogates, and donors who reside in the U.S., regardless of which state you are from, we can assist you. When necessary, we work with a carefully vetted, nationwide network of experienced attorneys who are prepared to handle courtroom appearances and assist with other official actions as needed in any state.

These are our major steps of the process for domestic clients:

Step 1

  • Set up a free consultation with us so we can build a legal plan for you

  • Sign our legal retainer.

Step 2

  • Review your surrogate’s or donor’s medical clearance, psychological evaluation, and background information upon request

  • Draft, negotiate and review your agreement

  • Assist with signing and notarizing the agreement properly

Step 3

  • Collect information from IVF clinic and surrogate to prepare the parentage order application with the competent court

• Draft and file your birth order with the competent court after your surrogate graduates from the IVF clinic

Step 4

  • Obtain your parentage order before the birth of your child if it is proper for your case

  • After obtaining the birth order from the court, we work with your surrogate’s delivery hospital to deliver the court order so the intended parent’s name can go on the birth certificate in a worry-free process for you and your surrogate
